"Cowgirl Clue is a visionary solo artist, electronic producer, and singer-songwriter with roots in Austin, Texas, where she first began DJing in her teenage years. Fast-paced, transportive, and at times slightly twangy, her songs—which, in part, are a reflection of her ideas about suburban myths and stylized tumblr fashion— combine elements of indie dance, dream-pop, techno, witch house, country folk and more.

Cowgirl Clue’s hybrid sound is as distinct as her live show experiences, where the act of letting go is not only highly encouraged but, frankly, inevitable. While her music exists outside of any genre boundaries, it’s always sonically cohesive and reminiscent of both your favorite warehouse raves and drives down country roads. Ashley is known for her precise vision, she has co-directed all of her music videos and used digital cameras for over a decade to craft her world. Over the course of her career, Cowgirl Clue has also performed alongside influential artists including Crystal Castles, The Garden, The Drums and Sky Ferreira. After sharing her first wildly impressive bodies of work, Icebreaker and Rodeo Star, Cowgirl Clue launched her own clothing label, Clue Wear, and released her personally designed merch perfect for pairing with head-to-toe denim looks and ballerina flats—her approach to personal style is a major part of her storytelling, and she’s been featured in art, fashion, and culture publications including Editorial Magazine, Metal Magazine, Office Magazine, and SNUFF Magazine. Cowgirl Clue has also contributed to the fashion realm with her image through modeling in several campaigns for Los Angeles based denim company, Rock Revival."
